The Inca Treasure world exhibition, held under the auspices of the Peruvian government, showcases the largest golden treasure in the world, demonstrating the wealth and sophistication of pre-Columbian America. This golden treasure has left the borders of the South American continent for the first time to be exhibited in Europe, presenting the long history of Peru. Thousands of years old original golden artifacts are complemented by a vast collection of items from the National Museum and private collectors. The exhibition vividly portrays the entire history of the colonization of the American continent.
