The Royal London Ballet, affiliated with the London Opera House, shares a long common history dating back to 1732 when the first ballet performance was staged. Since then, both the theatre and ballet ensemble have achieved worldwide fame. The Royal London Ballet soloists, along with an international team, will make their debut in Czechia.
Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake is perhaps the most famous ballet worldwide. The stage full of graceful ballerinas - swans - gliding on their toes above the "surface" will enchant not only ballet enthusiasts but also general cultural audiences. The performance, with its fairytale atmosphere and highly melodic music, is suitable for older children as well. The romantic story of Prince Siegfried and the beautiful Princess Odette, transformed into a swan, represents the cornerstone of classical ballet and has been one of the most successful titles in world theaters for almost 150 years.
